Do you want to take a quick dip in cold water?
Come and see the tallest waterfall in the province of Bohol. The wonderful cascade towers with a height of 60 feet will surely take your breath away. Located in Can-Umantad, Candijay, Bohol, the Can-Umantad falls is a noteworthy tourist destination in the Philippine archipelago. The Candijay town itself is located 92.2 kilometers away from Tagbilaran City proper at the eastern part of Bohol. From Candijay town’s main road, the waterfall lies 10 kilometers away. Located in barangay Can-Umantad, you will surely be amazed by this wonderful cascade.
Across the stream is an area which is quite flat and is an ideal place for camping. You can bring your own tent but make sure not to stay after sunset because there is no electricity in the place. The water flows a bit further and falls over a sloping contour of rock. Surrounded by thick vegetation, the area is tranquil and a good place to relax and commune with nature. Better be careful with the rocks while swimming or walking cause it is quite slippery.
This place is also suitable for other activities such as picnics, river trekking, etc. Do you want a back massage? It’s for free from the splash of heavy flowing cold water. Since it is not allowed to have an overnight stay in the place, there is a place near the waterfall where you can set up a tent. The private property is called Eleuterio. They just opened it for tourist last December 12, 2015. There are also available rooms if comfort is at your top priority.
